Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world's largest lizard - the Komodo dragon, a fearsome 3-meter predator found nowhere else on Earth. The park encompasses three major islands (Komodo, Rinca, and Padar) and numerous smaller ones, offering a unique combination of wildlife encounters and marine adventures.
Beyond the dragons, Komodo's waters are among the richest in the world, with manta ray cleaning stations, pristine coral reefs, and world-class diving. The iconic viewpoint on Padar Island - overlooking three bays of different colored sand - is one of Indonesia's most photographed scenes. Most visitors base themselves in Labuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores.
April to November is the dry season with calm seas and excellent diving visibility. Peak manta ray season is December-February despite occasional rain.
