Yangshuo

Yangshuo, a small town at the end of the Li River cruise from Guilin, has become one of China's most popular destinations for outdoor adventure. The town sits in a valley surrounded by spectacular karst scenery, towering limestone peaks, terraced rice paddies, and meandering rivers that make it a paradise for cycling, rock climbing, and bamboo rafting.

West Street has been a traveler gathering spot since the 1980s. But the real magic lies outside town: cycling through the Yulong River valley past ancient stone bridges, scaling world-class rock climbing routes, or drifting on a bamboo raft through the dreamlike landscape.

April-May and September-October offer warm weather, green rice paddies, and the clearest views of the karst peaks. Summer is hot and rainy but lush. Winter is cool and misty.
